LOCATion intelligence dashboard

Project Overview

 A geospatial analytics dashboard built for a physiotherapy clinic chain in the Greater Toronto Area. It integrates demographic, competitor, and healthcare facility data to help identify optimal clinic locations and support strategic business expansion. 

Key features

 

  • Fetches census-level demographic and income data using the StatsCan API.
     
  • Maps competitor clinics, hospitals, and walk-in centers via the Google Places API.
     
  • Calculates clinic-to-population ratios, hospital-to-clinic proximity, and other performance indicators.
     
  • Provides interactive heatmaps for visual exploration.
     
  • Deployed on google cloud with streamlit

Impact / Outcome

 Enabled data-driven decision-making for location expansion by combining open data with real-time intelligence. Helped quantify market potential for physiotherapy clinics in the GTA.

Future Enhancements

  

  • Integrate no-show prediction and smart scheduling modules.
     
  • Add Walk Score and parking data for accessibility insights.
     
  • Include clinic success prediction model based on ratings, demographics, and competition density.
